Hello Everyone,
It has taken some time, but I have put together a book and have had it published. It is not one of the "Chronicled" books, but is a separate entity. The best part, it is based on the essence of adventure. Here is a link to it. I hope you all enjoy!

Writing Update
Good Afternoon All,
With the summer coming to a close, camp over, etc, I can look forward to more writing in my spare time. As all should know, Volumes 1 and 2 are complete, and I have started 3. Out of the 15 Adventures in Volume 3, 3 are completed. My hope is that this semester I can have another 5 done (that's roughly one a month).
In the past, it has taken roughly 5 years to write one book, my goal is to have that down to a year and a half. The issue this time though, I have to focus on getting hired and graduating, so it's work, work, work. Let's see what happens.

Holidays!
Since this is the last day off I will have for a bit, let me have some fun and talk about holidays.
In Elementia there are only a few recognized holidays, but those that exist are especially important. The biggest holiday is Mas-Paz, or more peace. This holiday happens to fall on the same day as the Earth holiday Christmas, but is part of a multi-day celebration like Hanukkah. This event's main focus is on celebrating the joys of the year and a coming together. On the other hand, there is Forsworn Day. This one is not mentioned often in the books, however, it is a day that looks back at ones failures, the challenges of the year, the hardships one has faced, basically a day of reflection on mistakes and hardships. The exact day is not mentioned, but it is near the direct opposite portion of the year from Mas-Paz.
Beyond those two holidays, other events tend to be those of simpler "recognition" days. These are days that celebrate major events and victories, such as the defeat of Darkness or some similar event. There are many of these days available to "celebrate." With this in mind though, not everyone recognizes them, not because they do not believe in them, but because they only go for the ones that relate to their family.
Until the next time, let the elements flow...

A short update
Hello Elementalists and elemental friends,
It's been a little while so I wanted to provide all of you with a little bit of an update. So far I have revealed many different items behind the story and wanted to share a little bit of the current break down. As of right now, there are 12 planned volumes in the series. There are at least 4 major "protagonist" groups over the course of the books. Generally, the evil of each series becomes stronger, as with many series that have multiple books, however, there is also the many variations in skills that the antagonists receive as the "world" of Elementia opens up.
What I'd like to know now, is if any of you are interested in actually reading more of the adventures (remember, Adv 1 has been released in a previous post)? Also, what would you think if I was to break the adventures into pieces and have them published via a literary magazine?
Have a great journey.

Relationships
Just like on Earth, love is real and ever present. Though, why would this be of interest, well, in Elementia there are certain customs that are different than what one might expect. Here are a few topics that look at love and relationships in Elementia:
General: For the most part, love in Elementia is similar to that of Earth. People fall in love based on their personal criteria. There are several questions that might arise though. One, it does not matter what type of elemental you are, the element you study does not determine who you can fall in love with. Two, in programs such as the military or guardians, there is to be no public displays of affection or having a couple stationed in the same place.
Kiss of Honor: Yes, that is a tacky title for it, but I didn't have anything better right now. For the most part, on Earth, a kiss on the lips shows the highest sign of love between two individuals. In Elementia, the place of love is the forehead. Kissing on the lips is still a sign of love, however, a kiss to the forehead represents the deepest form of love and respect (you will only do this to the one you are either betrothed to or married to).
Vows: On Earth, a wedding usually includes readings from a religious book or writing based on the culture(s) of the two. In Elementia, there is a reading from the Valex, which is the elemental book of advice/proverbs of good life and love. The book is not long and holds many stories of living a good life.
Tokens of Love: A ring is the common form of unification for marriages on Earth, however, in Elementia it is all about something personal. Usually, the couple will exchange a gift that is made by the individual, sometimes, the maker includes elemental energy, bit of blood, or some other item that adds a personal connection. Also, where as the ring is common, it is more common to come across a necklace, especially for elementalists (due to rings could hinder an elementalist during battle).
These are some of the subjects that come up in the books about love, especially in Volume 2.
NOTE: I will be starting work at a summer camp in a few short days and will not be able to post often if at all until it is over. I will try to do an update, if not, I will do one as soon as I get a chance. Leave a comment on a subject you might be interested in hearing about that way we can keep running with this when I return.
